Lake Austin Spa is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new program, Aster After Dark, which will include a variety of events for February and March 2017. The events, which are open to the public, will be held in the evenings at the Aster Café or at the LakeHouse Spa Salon.
First up is the Life of Joan Rivers Wine and Cheese Chat on February 10 with guest New York Times Best Selling Author Leslie Bennetts, who will discuss her book, “The Life of Joan Rivers” over wine and cheese at the Aster Café. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is $25 per person, with books also available for purchase.
On February 15, New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov and New York acclaimed chef Corinne Tang will discuss their respective books, “How to Love Wine” and “Switch it Up” over an intimate wine and food tasting. Cost is $25 per person, with books available for sale. The event will be held in Aster Café from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
February is for fun with Bring Sexy Back held on February 28 at the LakeHouse Spa Salon. Guests at the free event will enjoy a “flirty evening of hair and make-up consultations, Tarot card readings and a jewelry trunk show,” as well as complimentary wine and cheese. The event also will include an introduction to the new Skin-ceutials skincare line.
On March 8, guests can enjoy Mandala readings with Renate Hume, who will share her knowledge on this Eastern concept. “Look back on life and dream forward” with Hume, with readings and interpretations discussed from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Aster Café. The event is $20 per person. Attendees also may schedule individual appointments with Hume throughout the week.
